I think I signed up for this blog as long back early 2007. It is now the end of 2009 and this is the first post. I have always wanted to capture the mundane moments of the kids growing up and even managed to write about some bits in pretty copybooks over the years. But as with other bits and pieces, the right one is never around when you need it. Hence, the ubiquitous net.
Why bother to log the mundane? Because I can't remember how K sounded at 3, or how many folds C's thighs had at 2. I do remember when K learned to walk and speak, one day he went looking for me at the farm, stopping outside each room and going "Mamma?!" I want to write that down before I forget that overwhelming feeling of discovering your cute little baby turns into a person!
This was set off by accidentally coming across an email that I had written and which subsequently got completely wiped out from my memory. It was a long mail, abotu something that was quite important to me - I should have remembered. Gudiya won't be around forever to remember parts of life I forgot I had forgotten. So, here goes.
